Chapter 5 of Fox Tale is finally finished and posted. As always, I am interested in what you think.
A few days ago I bought a new tablet for myself. It is an ASUS Transformer TF-101 with 32GB. I love it! Today I picked up the docking station for it which has an integrated keyboard. When the tablet is on the docking station, it looked and feels like a netbook computer running Android. Very handy when writing.
Speaking of writing. As part of playing and testing out the new docking station, I opened up Fox Tale chapter 5 and was able to knock out a few paragraphs pretty quick and easy. This sort of implies that I am most comfortable writing on a netbook-like device. That doesn’t surprise me as I wrote most of A Little Fox Tale on a netbook. Hopefully this brings my productivity back up.
I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2012! Be safe!
I have this love-hate relationship with my laptop. I love that it is fast and has a big screen, but I hate the keyboard. Even though it has a separate numeric keypad, it is very uncomfortable to type on as it has those flat keys that the newer laptops seem to have. My laptop isn’t the only keyboard I have issue with. During the day I work on a computer for my day job. That computer’s keyboard has an alternate layout of the delete, insert, and paging keys than my keyboard at home. It is to the point now that I have no idea where a particular key might be at any given time. The keyboard I am most comfortable with right on is the touchscreen one on my little tablet and that is kind of sad really.
I added links on the left to my Facebook and Twitter profiles. If you use one of those services, you can follow me there. I have configured this WordPress site to push crosslinks to both of those whenever I update here.
I also updated Chapter 4 with some minor revisions. I have not decided if Chapter 4 will end here with the flashback in Chapter 5, or include the flashback in Chapter 4. Once I get the flashback written, I will decide.
Stay tuned…
I have posted the first part of Chapter 4 for those impatient ones out there. I hope to have the rest of the chapter finished by the end of the week.
For those of you who might be looking for the original version of “A Little Fox Tale”, I have put a link on the left to the story hosted on Bigcloset/Topshelf.
A new version of QuickOffice has been released for Android devices. They have added support for MS Office 2010, which is great for those who have that version of Office. Also added are more formatting feature, however a few functions didn’t seem to be enabled in the version I have installed. I am not sure if this is because I am running android 2.3.5 and not Honeycomb, of if the features just are not available yet. In particular, the first line indent and the paragraph indent buttons are not enabled.
Even so, the new improvements make QuickOffice Pro the tool to have for any write who uses an Android device to write with.
All posted chapters of Foxtale have been updated with minor changes and corrections. I am now moving on with the rewrite of chapter 4.
I just posted the latest revision to Chapter 3. Randa had pointed out that I had made too abrupt of a transition near the end of the chapter. Hopefully this reads a little better.
